JY, please point to chapter and verse where the Bible ordains Dec. 25 as a Biblical 'holiday'. Until then, easy on the accusations. Without substance, you just make yourself look silly.
Crissy, I agree public schools are NOT the way to go, but it's not because prayer was taken out of school. I highly recommend watching Indoctrination by Colin Gunn, it will open your eyes to how we got to where we are today.
JY, I urge you to meditate on your comment about spiritual growth. As born again Christians, it becomes a great desire to grow spiritually. If you have no desire to grow toward spiritual maturity, then pray earnestly that The Lord gives you this desire. I like to reference Matthew 7, beginning verse 16. Notice good fruits come from healthy trees. Also, seek Solomon's advice on knowledge in the first few chapters of the Proverbs. I hope these help.
Jim, you should first and foremost search the Bible diligently to see how we are to raise our children by Gods standard, and His alone. THEN, see if that fits into the curricula of the public school. You will quickly find that it doesn't matter where you live, satan will always strategically place some loud-mouthed atheist family to quickly extinguish any talk of our God in the public schools. So, you say as long as good morals are present, the child isn't placed into much harm. But, what are morals if they can't boldly be supported by the word of God? The public schools are a humanist organization, who hate God.... It's in their framework. My children are more precious than that.
