well church, how many have been teaching ROmans 13 means obeying obeying obeying!time to rethink our junk doctrine! "romans 13" by baldwin I wonder, will pastors teach their people to speak adoration for sodomy to agree with public policy, tell them to remain faithful to the higher law of God regarding loving God and neighbor, or.... just remain silent... ... remaining silent is no longer an option for many.... |

instead of pastors having to defend the obvious, that God created the earth and its animals in plants in kind, and also what we believe, which is constantly proven, that man is fallen and sinful, yet it did not begin that way.... that even those who deny God, deny it against themselves because they see and experience Creation around them and its marvelous design.............. why aren't pastors challenging this regime of eugenics on their "accidental" earth practices that tarnish the design of God thereby causing endless havoc on nature and man? such as: gm grains (see sterility and increased pesticides, see death of bees) aborted fetal cells for vaccs aborted fetal cell lines for taste testing and cosmetics aborted fetal tissue as a market gm germs used for "science" that do not exist until they tinker with them and then suddenly the disease exists! homosexuality and perversions that destroy family teaching children they are asexual and come from ameobas what of the fake dinosaur bones, the fake intermediary human bones? what of their testing naming a new rock from Mt St Helens as millions of yrs old? ..... the track record of modern coorporate science, well, is destruction, they are the ones who need to explain. rewrite the poll. |

Christ taught on the Kingdom of God all the time, one of the main reasons he was crucified! They wanted a militant leader of the land. He came as a suffering servant to die for their sins. In other words.... their problem was not Rome but the sin within. That is why it is the humble of heart who will see God (see Sermon on the Mount) I would presume that anyone who is indwelled by the Holy Spirit and reads the words and teachings of Christ will get a strong understanding of the Kingdom of God. "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17: 20-21 Jesus here has once again given the time and place of the Kingdom. There is also his reign in heaven amongst the Saints. And I might add... the coming New Heaven and Earth. We also experience here the kingdom of darkness, but the gospel is the light of the world. |

Unprofitable Servant wrote: Jpw, again as pointed out earlier we are not looking at you believe only one way or the other. You yourself believe in a literal heaven, a literal hell, a literal judgment seat, a literal resurrection as they appear in Scripture ,that does not make you a loony-bin. The Bible has both allegorical and literal passages. The Bible has both allegorical and literal prophecies. you all have a great day. |

Observer, you are not alone on this...Nicodemus did only understand a literal meaning of born again because his eyes were not yet opened. They were expecting a political leader, to keep their land and rule.... and here this miracle maker, healer, and great teacher was humble (and to add to insult later) was crucified. it is the humble of heart that see God (see Sermon on the Mount) Indeed, this discussion, this tension between Nicodemus and Christ is the same discussion, the same tension that we are finding now within religious circles. being born in the Spirit, maybe some would see that as allegorical? We are using diminitive terms to describe the things that are spiritual, which in God's eyes are actual. That is why I challenge the word "literal". I've never known a literalist who was literal. It is impossible to be an absolute literalist and not sound like a loony-bin.... shall we say "here is the body" and say that we are eating the body of Christ? I'm challenging the term as a system, because it does not actually exist. Now I know no one here who are "allegoricists" and I see no one here that wants more than to find a true and respectful understanding of the Word of God. |

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." John 3:3-5 "If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?" John 3:12 |
