R. K. Just listen to all the bickering, yakity-yak. What has been accomplished? Nothing! As I wrote early in my post, that I believe that justification is based on our Faith. However, in order for our faith to be exhibited, don’t you agree that there is an amount of works tied to faith? How can we show Yahweh our faith if we sit in a corner sucking on our thumbs? These works that I refer to, can be such as studying the Words of Yahweh, sharing the Gospel with others etc. Can we say that these works are outside the realm of the non-believer? Now I somewhat disagree with your statement about, “that the Bible alone is the Word of Yahweh.” I found in reading various manuscripts of the followers of the known apostles that their writing are very helpful and useful in my daily walk in life. I refer to Barnabas, Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Ignatius etc. Once again, I ask the question “what is the definition of FAITH?” Until we nail this down, how can we define whether or not we are justified? Seaton, I qoute you, "the reformation was ordained and carried out by God, as indeed HE does for all revivals in the Church."Then why do we have all these different Church denominations? If Yahweh "ordained" this movement, wouldn't they be all in one agreement?I don't see the Calv. agreeing with the Lutherns. The Episcopalians agreeing with the Anglicans. Aren't they all part of the Reformers? So therefore you are telling me this was Yahweh's purpose, to have many different Churches? I'm amazed when I read the letters of the Apostles how the all agree with one another. But today that agreement has been done away with. No, I don't think this is what Yahweh had in mind. Kevin |

Seaton, you are 100% correct. Margaret was a sickly woman who claims to had a vision. Darby and Irving took off on this. The reason the early Church Fathers never made mention of the rapture, because, that teaching is a false, deceptive teaching. As far as Scofield, he was a fraud. Check your history on him. He was wanted by the government for fraud, I believe it something to do with the railroad, [going on memory]. He left his wife and kids. He ran to Canada. He was caught up with the Skull and bones society. Sent to Oxford, to meet Mr. Rhodes, who in turn introduce him to Darby. These people are all of darkness and if you like to e-mail me, I will be glad to send you all my info on these traitors. I can't remember who the Jewish judge that was instrumental into sending Scofield to Oxford. Oh, by the way the Scofield was told how to interrupt scriptures to make the rapture doctrine come alive. Something like a fairy tell. I would like to document all this, but I don't fell this is the right time. So you or anyone else is free to e-mail me on this.Kevin |

What rapture? I can't seem to find the word rapture in any Greek manuscripts. This must be a reformers doctrine. I guess they havn't read Ezk. 13? Eze 13:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Eze 13:2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Eze 13:3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! Why is Yahweh so mad at the teachers of His Word? Eze 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. What, Yahweh is mad at those that teach the souls to FLY? Can someone say rapture?Kevin |

Mike Hranek Sorry for the delay in a proper response. Been busy reading manuscripts. You ask "but what do we rely upon?", "the sufficency of Christ's work alone?" I believe yes we do. I stop and ask myself, what greater work can I do then the accopmlishment that took place during the Feast of the Unleavened Bread? My answer is NONE! there is nothing that I can or could do to top this. It was the Grace of Yahweh that He sent forth His only Begotten son, for the sins of Kevin. When I think upon that POWER that was sent forth in the resurrection, there is no power on this earth that can match this. This is why my works, outside of faith are of no value! However, when I put my faith in Him, I place my obedience and reliance in Him. Therefore what ever works that I do, I do IN FAITH TO HIM. You make mention of Titus 3:5-7, I will comment on these verse on my next post, due to space alloment.Kevin |

Just another quick note. Romans 10:9,10 is a simplified packaged statement that is very much related to Acts 16:31. What saves you there? Three things: Believe in the Deity of the Jesus (Lord) Believe in the Saviorhood of Jesus (Jesus) who can save from sin. Believe in the Messiahship of Jesus (Christ) who was truly sent from God.Confession at baptism is an ideal time to start the on-going salvation experience. |

The trick of these two verses is to interpret the word saved correctly. In verse 9 Paul speaks of a package that includes both the obtaining factor and the transformational factor. In verse 10 Paul explains the two factors. The first is that BELIEF brings JUSTIFICATION. The second is that CONFESSION brings SALVATION. So, to be eternally saved-justified one must believe in his heart, and then the logical next step is for the one who believe to SPEAK (2Cor 4:13). I cannot sit in judgment of him who does not speak after believing, because I cannot see his heart, but Paul does give us the process that SHOULD happen in the transforming sanctification of the one who has believed. These are my two pennies. |
