John we agree that Jews are God's chosen people. But can we say that every Jew is also saved?

"You don't believe the Jews were a chosen people? Anyway, don't let on that you think them European."

Although they were God's chosen people, how many of them were actually saved?

Also I was under the impression from reading SA posts that there are only two types of people alive today: the reprobate and the Calvinist.

Funny though how one always seems to think himself one of the elect few. Also statistically speaking, God who shows no partiality seems to choose those of European decent over all others.

According to many, this child is already a vile reprobate with nothing but hell fire awaiting it, unless of course it's one of the elect few. That's nothing to smile about.

Very surprisingly, according to Sproul Jr. over 200,000 evangelical women abort their babies every year in the US.

"S.Taylor,
I would have to know what exactly is " speculative" about his theology to affirm your statement. Have you read any of his works, after his Manichean days? His theology is Christ centered."

The perpetual virginity of Mary would be one.

While he was a godly saint, his speculative theology was off and has done untold damage to the Church ever since. Like Luther, people would be horrified at some of the things he actually said.

Good, does this mean an end to abortion, obamacare, and same-sex marriages?

So Apple CEO Tim Cook is proud to be a Sodomite. Many of us love Apple products. The prognosis for America is not good.
Is the day coming when a CEO will announce he's proud to be a liar or an adulterer, or greedy?

Evangelicals cannot repeat the "same old mistakes" in which they "slowly adapted to a sexual revolution that is now ravaging our churches and our culture,"

And may I add that they not only adapted, but adopted it as well. Read Barna.

Looks like America will have to learn by experience why sodomy is called an abomination.

The modern church has become an expert at accommodating the world. Separation from the world is now somehow seen as anti-christian.

This is typical tabloid sensationalism, where you have a shocking title with little factual substance. I doubt most people bother to read a full article anymore and form their opinions from the headlines alone.

Amen! "Choose you this day whom ye will serve......" The choice is ours. We can serve the Living God or serve self and empty idols, who will it be?

For some clarity. Adam introduced physical depravity to the world, but each human being brings spiritual depravity upon himself he chooses to rebel against God. The longer he resists God the greater the spiritual darkness.

No freedom of the will = no accountability. No accountability = no condemnation. This is basic logic. We don't condemn a tiger for exercising it's nature, nor do we hold a child accountable in the same way we do an adult.

You can't force politicians to believe in God anymore than you can force a Calvinist to assume his accountability toward God.
