Hello, this is Bob from Hackberry House . Many years ago I placed a through the Bible course on sermonaudio, and it is still being used today. It follows a book I wrote that is a series of Bible questions and answers. Many hundreds have used this study. Some of you may be on it even now.
But I believe I am being led to go through the Scriptures again. This time I will not use that guide but will simply open my noted Bible, pray, and begin to share a verse at a time. I will divide the Bible into five parts, which we will cover in six days. Audios will be released every day but Sunday, at 6 pm.
On the first two days of each week, we will cover History, the longest portion of the Bible, from Genesis through Esther. On the third day we will work on the literature books, the drama and the songs and the wisdom of Solomon. Next day will be the prophets. Then the history of the New testament, Matthew through Acts. Our final day, Saturday, will see us in the epistles and eventually Revelation.
I have no idea how long this will take. Months, for sure.
We will have prayer, and your questions via email, and whatever else the Lord gives us in a day’s 30- to 40-minute session.
What do you think? I put this before the Lord in this way: “Lord, if this is something you are putting on my heart, please give me at least five students who will send me an email and let me know they are interested.”
So if you are thinking this might be a very helpful study for you or for your family, I need to hear from you. Once I hear that there are five people – and they could all be at one home! – I will start making the definite plans and we will commence with the study.
If God does not give me those five, I will have to believe this was not the greatest idea, was not from Him, and I’ll let it go.
