Excellent Sermon Praising God for the revelation & earnest given brother Clay on the text detailing the NT commentary on the chapter as we heard & read of the predestinating purpose of God, in CHRIST, for his people in 740BC which was the same at the time Paul wrote Romans & Luke wrote Acts which remains the same when brother Clay preached (2009) as when brother Frank preached from the text (2014). Isaiah 17:7 was so reassuring "at that day" the time of love every chosen sinner will, by the work of GOD look to CHRIST our Maker whose "eyes shall"... What GOD commands HE provides in the new birth and HIS spirit residing in us, and "he shall not look ....". If GOD does the work of HIS gift of repentance then, the person trusting in CHRIST does not, like to dog, return to his vomit, as some men preach that the believer returns to his altars, the works of his hands, he groves and the images. Not if GOD does the work! We are by our old nature SIN and we do sin however as GOD eyes things, we are justified in HIS sight "if" it is HE who has done the work! I believe that and this message provided assurance that we are saved to the uttermost. Bless GOD.
Great Sermon! Thank you brother Clay for this message.. “Of this man's seed (David) hath GOD according to HIS promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, JESUS” (ACTS 12:23). The promise is established upon the Seed promised which is Christ Jesus our LORD before HE formed the worlds, and was made-sure before HE “Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in HIMSELF” (EPH 1:9) “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our LORD” ( EPH 3:11). It is impossible for our tiny depraved minds to conjure-up, enter-into or process until God, according to HIS promise, raises us up in the new birth providing, for each, faith and grace to believe in THE PROMISED ONE. It is so glorious and beyond imagination (the wisdom of this world calls it foolishness & madness) yet GOD sends forth the Spirit of promise whereby we rest in everything HE has made know to us by HIS Spirit. Hence, we have this hope (Ephesians 1:17-20) so our confidence is CHRIST, and if we are found in HIM then, we possess CHRIST in us the hope of glory according to the purpose of GOD.
Great Sermon! This series of three (3) messages preached by brother Clay has blessed me. The flock at SGCPNJ is truly blessed to have such a workman, who studies the WORD and our GOD has answered his prayers concerning the preaching because this message excellent and is sorely needed for the church today. Some local assemblies have never had a message preached from Romans 14. My point of reference is Scott Richardson (1981) and Henry Mahan(1982) who both brought messages on Christian Liberty from Romans 14. The very next time the topic was preached was by Brother Marvin (2008) and brother Frank (2008).
Great Sermon! Outstanding sermon topic and preaching on this oft neglected topic, which is so necessary for the church. In the st century, the persecution was fierce and the need for this mindset and attitude on the part of each member of the BODY was crucial. With the absence of the persecution, the church has lost sight of this aspect of "new" life, which brother Clay has preached and taught. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Great preaching on the attitude of the new heart towards brethren. May GOD work that grace and burden in the hearts of all HIS people.
Great Sermon! Men's gospel versus God's gospel. Men's gospel is another gospel and is sending people to hell and they do not even know it. But God's gospel humbles humbles humbles man women children in the dust and proclaims Gods on the throne. Even for his own on a daily basis. That's just so deal with it that is our God it's not the world's God it's a sheep's God
Great Sermon! What a delightful reminder that Knowledge without Christ puffeth up and insists upon its Librerty-Looking at what Christ has done for His children and who He is -produces Love and obedience-Thank u!
Great Sermon! What a blessing to me!
When Christ is preached the deeds of the flesh are mortified
My old man is dead!
What a Saviour!
It’s ALL Him! Thank u!!
Great Sermon! Another great sermon about Gods salvation in our lives everyday. We strive against God we want things in the flesh now not late, but God keeps bringing us back to himself. He's not going to let us go back to something other than himself. He's going to let a lot of other people go astray from him, but what is that to us.
Great Sermon! "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God". I so desire that GOD grant unto me "first a willing mind" so that as our brother Clay has given to us much, in his preaching and exhortation, to hear, think, meditate upon, as it becometh saints, that thus same GOD would grant us the grace, the strength and the enablement to walk in the good works prepared for us by GOD, as HE teaches us the liberty we have in JESUS CHRIST to love HIS own as HE has love each of us.
Great Sermon! Without HIM I am vanity vin and worthless. In HIM all is well. "GOD, who hath also given unto us his HOLY SPIRIT and HIS Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of GOD and if children, then heirs; heirs of GOD, and joint-heirs with CHRIST".
Great Sermon! What A Savior what a message what wisdom to save us the way he does to the preaching of his gospel the first hour the middle hour and the ending hour. Bread from heaven is way better than the dead burnt bread of our doing of our works.
Great Sermon! God's works are known by the people he calls to come to him, no walls no walls no walls erected by man or beast will stop him from going where he wants to go. This is Our God, this is our God this is Our God. Amen he conquers any City and any people he wants to.
