Powerful Sermon! This is one of the best sermon I have heard on the wrath of God. This message is preached with much fervor and compassion. I believe this is a topic that needs to be preached more often in contemporary churches around the world.
Great Sermon! This sermon has shed light on Apostle Paul's apostleship which I found to be very helpful. I also like the examples you gave on Moses, Samson, Solomon, etc. to help me understand how God set His people apart to do His work. Ephesians 2:10 reads “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Very good encouragement.Thank you for teaching!
Great Sermon! Very good introduction for the Epistle to the Romans, one of the most useful, imfluential and impactful book of the Bible. Thank you for preaching this series as I'm sure it will greatly help me in understanding this book.
Thank you for preaching! What you shared on the mystery of providence is very helpful to me and really speaks to my heart in light of all the extreme, unbelievable and difficult circumstances that I have been and still am in, “Providence is God’s prefect ordering of all events, directing all of history according to His sovereign will, and often in ways we don’t understand or expect in order to work out his grace and purposes. So God often work in ways we can’t understand. His providence often seems dark and foreboding, fearful and mysterious. “ I needed this hear this message again to be reminded of the mystery, grace and purposes of God’s providences. Amen. Thank you dear brother and pastor!
Great Sermon! This beautiful message on providence made me think of Joseph's story. After 13 years of suffering, Joseph finally understood God's purpose in all the unexpected and difficult providences of his life as he uttered these words, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." (Genesis 50:20) Every event in Joseph's life was orchestrated by his God whose ways and thoughts are higher than his. The truths taught in this message gives me much comfort, encouragement and gratitude as I marvel at our Master's great plan for us.
Great Sermon! Excellent teaching for soul winning. Thank you for reminding me the great calling of a Christian. It's so true that we can do nothing apart from God. We must completely rely on the Lord when we casting the nets.
Great Sermon! This is one of the best sermons I've ever heard on this topic. All Christians needed to be aware of the schemes and devices of the devil.
Great Sermon! This sermon is not only helpful in encouraging me to be persistent in prayer, but also helpful in understanding reasons for unanswered prayers. I especially resonate with the first reason you gave as I do see God purify my motives, sanctify my heart and work in my life through unanswered prayers. It’s difficult and painful but I do see God’s goodness in it, and I will trust in the goodness, kindness and mercy of God.
Great Sermon! John 1 has always been special to me because it not only gives volumes of contemplation per word, but begins man's plain and simple understanding of the profound.
Your labors in the Word were very instructive and gave me practical guidance
the Spirit directing and applying to concerns I'd brought to the Father and the Son.
Thank you for your service to your fellows.
Great Sermon! Your story of how your trip to Switzerland was hindered until God’s time better fulfilled His desire and what you shared about God made Apostle Paul a Roman prisoner as His way of getting Apostle Paul to Rome without being killed all testifies the great mystery of the providence of God in using unthinkable and horrible circumstances to better fulfill His plan and to protect His people. Just as what is written in Isaiah 55: 8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Great Sermon! I should have resisted sin to the point of shedding my blood. One of my greatest need is to be much more violent in my struggle against sin. Thank you for sharing.
Great Sermon! You mentioned about a guy asking the TV to be taken out of the room when going to the hotel. I say if that’s what it takes to avoid temptation, we better be radical in our fight against sin. This reminded me of the verses in Matthew 5:29-30, ”If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell”, as well as the verse in 1 Peter 5:8, “Our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour”. Often time, we are much weaker than we thought when facing temptations. We are all in this fierce spiritual battle whether we like it or not and we have no choice but to run away from sin that so easily entangles and to flee from that which will drag us to eternal damnation.
Great Sermon! This sermon is very helpful in dealing with hidden sins in my heart such as discontent and envy when seeing a bother or sister in the Lord who is more gifted, more used by God or received more grace and blessings from the Lord. Thank you for sharing this: “Love rejoices when someone else gets a gift even if it’s at our expense. The exact opposite of love is self. Self rejoices only when self gets and that’s the root of all kinds of jealousy, self pity and envy.” I will also take to heart the warning of attitude when serving the Lord: “A mercenary attitude toward God - trying to make sure He does right by us is a self centered thing and is not serving God because He is worthy and because it’s such a privilege to serve Him for His glory.”
Great Sermon! Praise the Lord for this timely message. I look forward to the day when God will wipe away every tear of my eyes and when there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. I trust in the Lord that all misery and curse we Christians experience in this world can be turned into blessing as it could drive us closer to our Lord. Thank you for reminding me that Christ was made curse for us so we could be made the righteousness of God in him.
Great Sermon! It gave me so much joy to meditate on God's wonderful promises and to know for certain that one day the humble will be exalted and the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
Great Sermon! I totally agree with your teaching that the unity of church is not an outward unity, but an internal spiritual unity where all Christians share the same life as other parts of the body, and what you said about Christianity that it doesn’t negate personality but it’s saying that we are become who we really are as a person in all our uniqueness forever. I really like your balanced teaching in 1 Corinthians 12 about the body of Christ.
