“ Great Sermon! ” If you're discouraged this message will convict you as you remember all the suffering Paul endured for the glory of God and the spread of the gospel. What made Paul continue to press on?
“ Outstanding Sermon! ” This is an excellent message on some very difficult verses of Scripture. I appreciate learning the difference between moral law and positive law. The explainations of the customs of the day and the mind set of the people helped a lot to bring home what Paul said through the Holy Spirit. The explaination of the "simplicity of Christ" is important to get right. Too many good things to say about this sermon to keep writing here. “ 'Giving is a tangible proof of our love.' ” An example to follow is set forth and there is much here that we can learn from the troubles that Paul went through. "Calvin said, 'There is nothing which is more apt to lay one open to sinister implications than the handling of public money.'" The principles for giving and handling money are the same throughout time and good to know. "Giving is a tangible proof of our love." is taught using Luke 7 at the end and is very, very good. This is an excellent series on giving and handling money.
“ All of Him ” "God's throne is founded on righteousness and justice. How can God accept the faith of the ungodly as righteousness?" This message is very encouraging and humbling.
“ Great Start to the life of King David! ” Outstanding start to a series that is going to be, on the edge of your seat, exciting. Already I'm learning valuable things I need to know. These things were written for our instruction.
“ 'What is the fruit of true repentance?' ” Good examples here of what godly sorrow and earthly sorrow are. "When we don't repent we repeat.", this is so true. May God grant us truly repentant hearts. At the end decisional regeneration is discussed, I love it, always we need to be careful to tell others they need to repent, not that they can repent. Great Sermon.
“ What part does a believer have with an unbeliever? ” Tons of practical application here for a doctrine that is very often misapplied, with the resulting heartache that ensues. "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols?" (2 Cor. 6:14-16a NKJV)
“ Great Sermon! ” This is an excellent sermon and I have listened to part 2 as well. This is a much needed lesson for all of us, especially in the times we find ourselves. Thank you Pastor Steve.
“ Great Sermon! ” The premise of this message is, "A Distorted view of hell helps support a distorted view of Christ." This sermon is very helpful especially if you ever encounter a J.W.
“ Great Sermon! ” How blessed we are to be in on this conversation between Jesus and the woman at the well. Praise God for His Word to us and those who proclaim it.
“ refreshingly honest Exposition of the Word of God ” I used to hate this doctrine, but now that God opened my eyes and gave me a new heart to believe His revelation about Himself, I have accepted it and worshipped. I need to set aside my emotion and traditions, and receive the facts that is recorded in the Bible. Many pastors do not preach the truth. Don't they fear God? I'd rather stay home than attend a church where the Truth is not preached. And, if, according to many professing Christians, that the Bible is not clear on this topic (I believe it is VERY clear), then what can we believe if the Bible is not taken at face value? Why do we even do "church" if the truth is not boldly preached and proclaimed?
