“ Great Sermon! ” Amen! Praise the LORD for Rev. Schwertley's clear preaching against the misinformation and confusion about God's Law that is circulating today. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of this series.
“ Biblical Truth and Logic ” An outstanding teaching that thoroughly dismantles the hyper-preterist house of cards. Pastor Schwertly's knowledge and understanding of hyper-preterism were impressive and added weight to his puncturing the heresy point by point. The pastor in Omaha he refers to is Kelly Birks (I suspect he conflated his name with that of Ed Stevens, another full preterist). I am familiar firsthand with Birks' church. Like most of those who attend it, I was burned by "rapture fever" and sought a saner eschatology. After reading Gary DeMar's Last Days Madness I considered myself a preterist. It was only after falling in with the extreme, hyper-preterists and learning of their deviations and perversions of scripture that I disassociated myself from that camp. (In addition to being hyper-preterist, the church is also hyper-Calvinist, showing how error begets error.) The trap is sprung when a person buys into the original false premise, upon which further false premises are stacked and appear to have an internal logic. The church bills itself as "Independent Reformed," which a visitor once perceptively called an "oxymoron." Schwertly's sermon was informative and edifying. I would point listeners seeking further information to Keith Mathison's book, "When Shall These Things Be," published by P&R.
“ Classic Calvinism, Real Reformation, & Puritanism! ” God's sovereignty, Sola Scriptura and the regulative principle of worship (RPW) are all trumpeted in this powerful and impassioned message. All this is contrasted with the many corruptions and innovations in worship in our day -- and in the past. God's anger with false worship is also strongly set forth in this stirring and spirited sermon by Brian Schwertley. Examples of apostasy in this MP3 include Roman Catholicism and the heretical Federal Vision movement. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Corinthians 6:17).
“ Christmas and Easter Are Roman Catholic Holy Days! ” This sermons sets forth the classic Puritan, Presbyterian and Reformation view of holy days against human inventions in the worship of God, including the liturgical calendar. This message also looks at and refutes some modern arguments by wayward Christians who try to justify what the Devil loves and Scripture condemns regarding holy days. It also upholds, based on the second and fourth commandments (or what is sometimes called the "Scriptural Law of Worship" or the "Regulative Principle of Worship"), the Lord's Day or Christian Sabbath. This MP3 also deals with the "adiaphora" or "things indifferent" argument and demonstrates who is really legalistic when the issue of holy days is debated.
“ Humanism And Psychology Are Demonic Lies! ” A powerful look at why the modern church (even many, if not most, Evangelical and Reformed churches) have fallen away from Scripture regarding biblical counseling and the Bible's view of love -- and have adopted humanism, psychology, and psychiatry in the place of God's holy Word and law. This sermon demonstrates how this can be seen in the emphasis on emotions and feelings above what Scripture teaches about loving God and His law. The fruit of these errors, based on humanist psychobabble and not the Bible, can been seen in high divorce rates, Hollywood views of love, confused parents and children, educational anarchy, and antinomianism in the church (including effeminate sermonettes in the place of powerful bible-based sermons, man-made hymns in the place of the Psalms of the Bible, etc.). James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Sigmund Freud, Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, Bruce Narramore, Norman Vincent Peale, and other purveyors of this unbiblical, pagan, psychological nonsense are all mentioned in this message -- and their false teachings are refuted by the touchstone of Scripture.
“ Please listen to this sermon ” Proverbs 18:13 says "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him." The Holy Spirit will open the eyes of those who truly desire truth. Pastor Schwertley presents a solid biblical teaching here, so please listen to this sermon and then, if you have been observing Christmas traditions, take it to the Lord in prayer for deliverance from this pagan worship.

“ Wonderful! ” Another wonderful exegesis of Scripture. The light shed on the appearance of Christ before those who condemned Him was wonderful! Especially the tying together of Old and New Testamenet prophecy and it's fulfillment in Christ. Thank you Rev. Schwertly
“ Biblical and True ” Praise the Lord for faithful witnesses to His truth. Pastor Schwertly does an excellent job explaining the Scriptures, laying out the objections and refuting them. May the Lord bless these sermons to all who hear them and bring about a great day of revival!
“ Praise God, great sermon! ” I also liked that the author made a really deep study on the Law of God, giving a broad perspective. The discussed Martin Lloyd Jones, Rushdooney and other authors views are also very interesting as well. Much needed subject for churches today.
“ How Roman Catholic Idolatry Enters Protestantism ” This message contains many clues as to how Papal superstition (Roman Catholicism) and will worship (idolatry) is introduced into Protestant Churches. In this sermon Brian Schwertley conclusively demonstrates how Jordan's views on worship are seriously flawed and how his writings "often show more charity toward Papists, than toward the Reformed faith" (p. 28, Canterbury Tales by Kevin Reed). “ How Satan Corrupts The Worship of God ” This whole MP3 series contains very important messages about how Satan is corrupting the worship of God in our day, using men (like James Jordan, John Frame, Doug Wilson, Steve Schlissel, Jeffrey Meyers, Vern Poythress, et al.) who claim some connections to the Reformed faith, but who, in reality, teach principles of worship much closer to Rome and the Papacy than to the Reformation and the best Reformers.
