Outstanding Sermon! This is one of the most thorough sermons covering all aspects of understanding the meaning of Christ Jesus, sin, redemption, salvation and what we should celebrate at Christmas -- the Truth of the day that the secular world has no understanding of it and has turned it into a selling/marketing ploy.
A Peace Giving Sermon! You will get peace and confidence from this Psalm. We all face David's problems but we also can find strength and understanding of how God will get us through our problems. If we look to God in tough times, He will give us what we need to overcome it all. This is a very peace giving message.
Powerful Sermon! The specific incident seems limited by Brother Phil opens up a great many insights and understandings that we get from it. The mercy of God, His power, His judgment on the wicked, and the evilness and destruction by following Satan and brought out in this story. Phil is blessed to have this expository gift and I enjoy and learn from all his sermons and teachings.
Great Sermon! This is very good, Bro. Phil. I wondered as I listened to it if where Christ calls out, "all who are weary and heavy laden, I will give you rest," is a Greek translation of
Sabbath. Such as would be I will give you Sabbath, or true Sabbath. Just wondered.
Great Sermon! These are truly sad days for the USA. With the sinful beliefs of the Supreme Court's being their reasoning for decisions, our nation gets more depraved.
Along with our nation's growing rejection of God for our future, our churches are becoming more weak and no longer preach the Gospel in Truth. We need revival if we are to survive and not face more strong judgment of God, which we already are seeing. If you're a child of God, continue to grow in The Lord, study His Word, and pray for strength for yourself and for our country.
Powerful Sermon! After listening to Phil's series on the Unpardonable Sin, it literally made me sick to see how apostasy and false teaching is taking place in our churches today. Our nation is turning against God and Jesus Christ, and is mocking the Holy Spirit. As children of God, we must study the Holy Scriptures more diligently, and pray for our nation more than ever before as we are already feeling the judgment of God taking place. With greater immorality consuming our nation, the Rapture must be getting very close. We need the strength of the Holy Spirit to live each day in this sinful world.
I learned a lot. Thanks, Mike. I learned a lot listening to this. It not only helped me prepare for my own Sunday School teaching, but spoke directly to some affliction in my life right now.
Great Sermon! This is a brave word that should make the Christian men out there be willing to be bold and forthright in calling out the false prophets. I am wondering, "Where are the MEN." Well, I just heard one in this sermon.
Great Sermon! This is a very thoughtfully presented sermon. The teacher's voice is winsome, and the content follows a very logical ordering of the facts. The tone is respectful but serious, without the need for sarcasm or inappropriate humor that can sometimes accompany polemic subject matter. Good work.
forgot to say... The SDA Sabbath school lessons come out of the SDA General Conference, which dictates all of what they teach everyone on Saturday mornings. The lesson booklets have lessons for adults as well as children's lesson plans. These lessons often include passages from EG White's writings written into the lesson but then does not give any citation to indicate that this is including such writings let alone where they are from. This, again, is deceptive, or at very least, sloppy writing. The SDA learners/Sabbath School attenders are misled to assume this is coming straight out of the Bible. Often SDA members will say things like Adam was over 9 feet tall, thinking it is in the Bible when in actuality it is one of EG White's "prophecies".
Great Sermon! I was brought up Seventh-day Adventist. Thankfully the Lord saved even me. It is true that it is very difficult to extricate oneself from this cult, and yes it is a cult. I heard that the man who started the Jehovah's Witnesses also came out of the Millerite movement. Seventh-day Adventism is a religion, however being saved by Jesus is a changed life not enslaved to a religion. There is a huge difference.
