Monergistic! Arminianism is in and Monergism is out the way it is in almost all the churches. The only thing we can figure out is that its the delusion sent so they will believe the lie. Except His elect that is. It is very clear in scripture that He is sovereign in everything but for some reason, they refuse to believe it. Man thinks he has to have his hand in there somewhere. Good message. His sheep hear his voice :)
Great Sermon! I was intrigued by the answer given to the opening question, "What is faith?" or "What do we ultimately believe in?". I didn't agree with the answer when I heard it. I thought there is probably a better answer then the one given. But by the end of this sermon I could see that it was, ultimately, a good and correct answer. Especially as it is applied to the Scriptures being taught. This sermon is both comforting and scary!
Great Sermon! Coming to understand God's sovereignty in all things, including salvation, changed my life and my relationship with God dramatically. An proper understanding of man's will is so important. This sermon helps a lot to clear up any confusion between the two; God's will or man's will? To God alone be the glory!
Great Sermon! Excellent Sermon - It is unfortunate how misguided our brothers and sisters are, how weak their arguments, and how scripture is mishandled when it comes to speaking against God's good gift of drinking. Thank you for this sermon, an excellent exegesis of Scripture.
Thank you Pastor Dan This was an excellent sermon! You answered the questions you proposed in the summary, and you do so biblically and convincingly. The importance of understanding church membership/elder oversight in regards to the Lord's Supper is vital to properly maintain this important "means of grace."
Great Sermon! I would like to purchase a copy of the tape on predestination. I came upon your site. My name is John Williams 21704 Devonshire, Chatsworth California 91311 phone 818 341 2950 Thank you
Very clear message Thank you for this straight forward teaching on what Calvary Chapel really believes about the doctrines of grace. How it shows that there are really no such thing as "three-pointers" (whatever that means). I encourage you to listen to the honest, no-nonsence teaching of Pastor Urroz.
Worth a Listen! Very interesting sermon. I believe you are quite correct and this needs to be said. I also believe many generally Bible believing brothers and sisters will unfortunately not accept your exegesis of Scripture although it's sound.
Very Good! There is a great quote in this message talking about the qualifications for those "in ministry". "They are breathing and they have the time."
We live in a day when everyone THINKS they MUST have a ministry. Many churches teach exactly that. Pastor Dan does a good job exploding that wrong-headed notion.
Great Sermon! Excellent, honest, and courageous study
and stand for the truths of God's Holy
Word. Being a member of a small
Reformed Independent Baptist Church in
Southern West Virginia, I have witnessed the loss of half of the
congregation simply because the pastor
preaches the truths of election and grace alone for our salvation. Thanks
be to God for a man such as Daniel Urroz. All the sermons I have heard
have been a real blessing. Although we are on opposite sides of the US, it is so good to realize that the Lord has
reserved for Himself a few men who will teach the whole council of God.
Thank you.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Brother, for having the courage and taking the time/trouble/expense to put your sermons on the net. I was so grateful to tumble onto you only a fortnight ago found your series on Jude providentially when needed most. (I have been a pastor to a tiny suburban Presbyterian church congregation for the past 3 years.) Thank you for your messages on Jude. So many cofusing issues are making more sense and I have been encouraged to keep proclaiming the whole counsel of God/contending 'for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.' (Jude).
Proverbs 27/17 "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."
Great Sermon! Thank you!! I had the same thing happen to me before I got saved. Someone may walk up and say, Jesus loves you, He died for your sins, you need to be saved, and then just walk away and not tell you anymore!! To an unsaved person, you may as well of walked up to them, spoke a foreign language they didn't know, and walk away! Because that about how much the person accomplished by doing that. Tell them the whys and wherefores. Don't stop at one sentence. They need to hear the rest of it. We have alot of false teaching going on now days and if you don't know your Word, you will be lead astray and not know it. Study the Bible and don't just listen to everything the man in the pulpit says without checking it out. Learn HOW to study. Get a concordance and Bible dictionary and check it out. Prayerfully ask the Lord to lead you. He knows all the false is going on. I speak from experiance. I sat under a false church and school for a couple of years when I first got saved. But I checked out what they were teaching and found it to be false. Great teaching Daniel. We are looking forward to more messages on this from you if you have some. Gods blessing go with you brother, and thank you again.
