Great Sermon! I thank you Bro Lawson to you and your church for hosting this conference and making yours and Bro MacArthur's wonderful sermons available to those outside the convention. I have been richly blessed. Also I love the Amazing Grace rendition by that Bro Antonio along with the accompanying violin music. Thank you.
Great Sermon! I feel honored and privileged beyond expression to have been able to "attend" this confe
erence and to hear such depth of preaching. And to feel truly there with the singing at the end. I feel deeply blessed. It is well with my soul. Thank you Bro. MacArthur, Bro. Lawson, and thank you Sermon Audio.
What is true preaching. Precious lessons taken from MLJ's book "Preaching and preachers". A clear differentiation between what is preaching and what is not.
Powerful lessons. This message really hit my heart and my mind! And, Oh, it was a needed hit! How cold is my heart and how unworthy I am to serve God, compared with these examples! God have mercy on me!
Wonderful portrait of a godly man A companion piece to Dr. Lawson's awesome portrait of Jonathan Edwards, this message paints a loving and elucidating picture of one of the most remarkable preachers ever to set foot on American soil. It is so inspiring to learn of this man's passion for the gospel and his determination to deliver it with passion and a zeal for the lost. The next time someone says Calvinists aren't interested in evangelism, point them to Whitefield. Well done, Dr. Lawson, and may God continue to bless your ministry.
Really enjoyed these times! Steve thank you for opening your home like this. The highlight of the first conference wS this time with you. Thank you for being so transparent.
Great Sermon! RC. always has been my very favourite modern day minister and guru of GOD!! his books are excellent and i wish more people would accustom themselves with him and his teaching!!! WHOLLY BIBLICAL!!! MAY KING JESUS BLESS HIM AND LOOK AFTER HIM! AMEN!
Fascinating sermon I found this to be a very informative and entertaining message. Dr. Lawson did a great job of making Edwards' skills and abilities stand out, and pointing out what we can learn from him today. We are blessed to have Edwards's sermons available, and this is a 1loving portrait of a truly godly man. His passion for the gospel and the souls of his people is evident. No wonder seminaries still study him and his clear, no-nonsense message. You will be enlightened by this message. Well done to Dr. Lawson on both this and the message about George Whitefield. I cannot recommend this more strongly to give us an anchor back to what we once were - and may God grant that we become again.
A must-hear for every preacher! A much needed reminder for every preacher of the glorious gospel of Christ. Truly, God used this to remind me to fan into flame the gift of God given to me. His 2nd point, "the gravity of preaching" was both refreshing & convicting at the same time. I give praise to our great God for using this sermon to prepare me as I prepare to preach the Word this Lord's Day. Thank you, brother Lawson for your faithfulness to the Word of God. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for gifting & enabling this man to encourage the flock of Jesus.
Great Sermon! I was in Prison For 2 weeks and this message stuck in my head the whole time and this message just kept me going and trusting God even more!
Great Sermon! As a bi-vocational pastor of a small Church, I was greatly humbled, challenged, and encouraged by this sermon. Trying to hold true to sound doctrine and expositional preaching can seem lackluster to the rest of the world, however Bro. Lawson's sermon encourages me and renews my conviction of the task before me and all who are called of God and made stewards of His Word.
