Puzzled I'm a little puzzled by Alistair's endorsement and affirmation of Billy Graham's ministry. Particularly towards the latter year's of Graham's life, he wondered a long way from the truth.
On this, Alistair's discernment is faulty. As many have commented, what Billy Graham did on stage was one thing, what he did off it, was something else - something entirely different.
Wonderful and encouraging. A Must Listen Thank you dear brother for such a wonderful yet simple defence for marriage especially in the light of what is happening today with marriage more than ever in history: That marriage is being attacked, destroyed and trivialised. Living together is seen as the norm and the marriage agreement/covenant is seen as completely unnecessary. This act of 'living in sin' is an out and out attack on the validity and sanctity of marriage and we, as Christians, need to stand firm on Gods creation ordinance and command that " A man should leave his mother and father and cleave unto his wife and the two should become one flesh for all the reasons outlined in our dear brother's excellent sermon. Its time to stand firm on Gods decrees for the future of our children and their children. Praise our wise Creator for all of His wise decrees.
Bible reading needed I hope that you realize that Graham was a false millionaire teacher? His wealth and powerful connections won't spare him from God's judgement.
Brilliant Message! Too many people in the reformed movement are so caught up in their "reformed-ness" that they neglect holy living. This sermon gets to the heart of the problem.
Great Sermon! Your message starts out with Paul's letter. Why do all the churches think that what Paul said is greater than what Baptist John and Emmanuel said? These two prophets from Luke 1 taught repentance. Emmanuel said from his own lips "I did not come to sacrifice. I came to teach the sinners to repent." He chose 12 disciples who were all 12 sinners. He did not choose those who were already. righteous. God saved Emmanuel. Emmanuel does not save us. God saves us.
Everything in the bible already happened. Caiaphus was a high priest of the Jews in the first century. The anti-Christ was Caiaphus who ordered the death of Emmanuel because Caiaphus believed that Emmanuel blasphemed God. (Matthew 26:57-75) He said "the man among us is the false prophet and there are many false prophets." The husbandmen plotted to kill the heir to steal the inheritance and then lied about why he died. (Mark 12:7-12) Emmanuel said that he did not come for those who were already righteous. He did not come to sacrifice. He came to teach the sinners to repent. (Matthew 9:13) All twelve disciples were sinners. All twelve disciples were left behind after Emmanuel died. They were to teach others what Emmanuel taught them. Only Paul said that you are saved by grace as a free gift. It is a lie.
Thought provoking! So easy to take waking up each morning for granted... this sermon is the proverbial splash of cold water in the face. Please listen and take it to heart and Prayerfully read Psalm 90.
PS - if anyone know where I can find the preceding sermon to this one (also on Psalm 90) please let me know - Thank you.
Great Sermon! Thank you so much this message from your heart. It helped me so much with my lesson plan for Sunday School. I teach the adults and we are on James 4:6-8. May God continue to bless you.??????
