“ Encouragement after the Virginia Tech tragedy ” David Vance's church meets in a library near the Virginia Tech Campus, and this message, preached less than a week after the tragedy, is a blessing indeed! Regardless of what may befall us and those around us, God makes no mistakes.
“ What does it cost? ” The concept of the "pearl of great price" is pretty deep. You must give up everything to get it yet you give up nothing of any lasting value to you. Of course, it doesn't look that way at the time. The question is whether you have truly given up the temporal things of life to obtain the True Prize.
“ For Such A Time As This ” When undergoing trials, it is important to remember that we were selected for this time. If we are faithful, like Jonathan Edwards, our influence can proceed through many generations. What a timely message.
“ Great Sermon! ” Rev Vance attacks the most difficult chapter in the Bible. He wrestles with the unpardonable sin. It causes the believer to break into a cold sweat and think about their behavior. Any man who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of Heaven...Luke 9:62

Christians haven't heard this type of message in most churches. It made me aware of the strong reality of satan and of evil forces worldwide and in my daily life. Being strong in Jesus Christ is the only defense and I will study more on this topic. God Bless you.

“ Great Sermaon! ” I am truly impressed with the sermons I've heard from David Vance. He and Beeke are the best preachers I've heard on this site. This sermon is a great reminder of we are supposed to be in church for, and if God doesn't give permission for an activity in the church, it shouldn't happen. There are many activities that are not condemned by God, but they aren't appropriate within the house of God.
