Great Sermon! Nothing here of martydom. The mark we have is spiritual (Rev.22.3).
The first resurrection is rising with Christ (Col.3.1) at the Cross, a body of the church that leaves behind the body of the world.
The second is bodily resurrection. Without the first resurrection no person can be saved.
The book of the revelation of Jesus Christ covers the entirety of history, from the fall to the end of the world.
There is one way of interpretation.
1). Metaphorical
2). Historical
3). Doctrinal
The illustrations do not run chronologically, the preacher is correct here.
Classic Voddie I would not expect anything less from Voddie and how he explains these verses. I am thank to God that He raises Shepherds up through the ages to minister to us and bring us the whole counsel of God.
Great Sermon! To glimpse how sovereignty and contingency can both be true: imagine a movie character ordering and receiving chocolate pie. Still true that IF he had ordered strawberry, he would have gotten strawberry. As image-bearers, we just love to *create* novels and plays. Limited reflections of the Creator. But His ways are above us. Hence paradoxes.
How can God be good if the fall? He deemed redemption unto eternal life as even better than no fall. (Gal 3)
Great Sermon! Such an important and universal message, especially is such a time as this. May these words and truths still resonate amongst the body of Christ.
Great Sermon! Excellent! Pastor Baucham says we must see the book of Exodus as part of redemptive history. Otherwise we’d be left with a deliverer who delivers us and then gives us a law that we cannot keep, and we’d have a God whom we cannot approach.
Great Sermon! Thank you for the truth that sets those yellow florescent lines on each side of God's law..It keeps us on the path of fellowship with our Lord.
Great Sermon! I think your perspective is good. I think we need to define how we got to this point. Clearly we have lost freedoms, and I think it’s caused by irresponsible living and our own hypocrisy as Christians. Gods discipline hurts.
I am very upset about the division in my church because most of it stems from blatent ridicule and criticism of the Democratic Party. Why would any of them listen to us about anything in our proclaimed self righteousness. These is no gentleness and respect.
I’m sure you agree that the left may not know Jesus. Most of them believe that in order to be a Christian, they need to become Republican.
Christ, and Christ alone is what saves us! Not our works or politics. While we need to preserve the society else have, we know it does not end well in this world.
Again, I do like your perspective on the whole of the situation.
Great Sermon! This is the year 2020 and I’ve become 12 weeks of double hip replacement and God’s providence I have missed stepped and broken my forearm! and worrying and wondering about God’s providence- I now see the big picture-Pastor Voddie Baucham thank you
