Great Sermon! Some really good questions are asked in this sermon, needful questions, things I need to ask myself about what kind of worshiper I am. Some really good insight into the Pharisees failure to shepherd God's people too. I learned a lot from this sermon.
Great Sermon! There is an excellent teaching on human depravity towards the end of this sermon, with Hazael, from 2 Kings, as an example. The warning at the end is very straight forward and I hope will be taken to heart by all who need forgivness. The tears of Elisha and Jesus mentioned in this sermon seemed similar as they looked to the horror of the judgement to come. Even though God's judgement is perfect and good, still it is not without tears, that's something to think about.
Great Sermon! This sermon is great. God's sovereign power and grace are on display in a very obvious way. When Jesus says "...today I must stay at your house." it does tell us that it wasn't optional, but the very purpose for which Jesus came and if we still don't get it Jesus speaks plainly about His purpose in vs.10. His power to do what is impossible for man is here and the reaction of the crowd, all these things tell us so much. The crowd was wrong about the purpose for which Jesus rode into Jerusalem, and yet they were so sure of themselves, I wonder how wrong we are in our thoughts of His return. One thing is certain, we are abundantly blessed to see Jesus now in this life and worship Him now and forever :)
Great Sermon! This series on John has been such a blessing to me. Pastor Massey mentions that it's common for Christians to feel as if they were blind and can now see. It's true, how amazing is it that we have spiritual eyes to see spiritual things! How amazing is our God, He is full of wonder and I'm in awe of Him. Because of His loving grace through His beloved Son, my beloved Jesus, I can see.
Great Sermon! What a blessing and encouragement this teaching has been to me. It's amazing how we can have the same feelings (heart) as David had so long ago, verse 17, "But I am poor and needy..." Not only the sorrow for sin but the joy of God's salvation.
Excellent Sermon! This is a powerful sermon! Overall, I'm in awe of God's wisdom, power and sovereignty working together to open and close eyes at just the perfect time to accomplish His will. Specifically, I was brought to tears when I heard about the ephod and the names thereon and how the priest went in once a year. A picture of our High Priest. I was also moved how this sermon brings out the very personal nature of our salvation (Jesus stopping for one man) this sermon makes that very evident. Jesus didn't die to make salvation a possibility but a certainty for those He loves. All glory and praise to Him!
Great Sermon! There is so much "weird" stuff out in the Christian community on prayer. This sermon is a breath of fresh air and solid Biblical scholarship on an often mangled subject.
Insightful Sermon! I don't think I will soon forget the lessons taught in this sermon because they really had a great impact on me. I'm reminded not only that we need to be able to walk away from material things but also that we are to die to ourselves as well, so that we can live to Christ. Praise to God that He will finish the work He started in us.
Excellent Mini-Series This is a very good sermon. In fact this mini-series of Christ at the Feast of Tabernacles is excellent. I especially love verses 31 and 32. We are SO wonderfully free in Christ. All glory to our great Savior!
Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon on a sin that isn't obvious even to ourselves, I really didn't think about being covetous until I was reminded by this sermon. I glad to be more aware so I can repent. I love the encouragement at the end of this sermon. How very great and precious is the blood of Christ.
Great Sermon! I've been married to an unbeliever for 28 years. For the past two years we have lived separtely because our lives together became intolerable. Please listen to this sermon and heed the warnings, you do not ever want to willfully put yourself in this position, trust me, God's word is true, "And what communion has light with darkness?" (see 2 Cor. 6:14-16) If the Lord has saved you after you were married then rejoice in your salvation and trust the Lord, He is faithful He will protect you, lead you and provide all you need moment by moment. Don't think that you will save your husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, for salvation belongs to the Lord.
Great Sermon! I love this lesson from Zechariah! I love to see the types, shadows and symbols all pointing to Jesus and the church and showing the unity of the Scriptures, this is a great sermon.
Great Sermon! I love that God controls the nations, what comfort! A very good perspective, to keep in mind especially with a presidential election coming, is taught at the end of this message.
Great Sermon! This is a very good sermon. I like the clear, straightforward, commonsense teaching on a topic that has caused a lot of controversy since the Lord's first coming.
Great Sermon! This message is for those who truly want God to make changes in their lives. A reminder that our lives are always noted by our attitudes. I found it challenging and stimulating.
So Good Sermon! There are so many good things to say about this sermon. From the start, with the warning about offending a little one, to forgivness, to the mustard seed, to the unprofitable servant, to the 10 lepers. The title of this sermon is quite fitting as these verses do deal with our attitudes, something to really take to heart and be on guard for, no one wants to have a bad attitude, especially to our Lord, not to others either. What a blessing this sermon is, I want to hear it again.
Great Sermon! Learning the truth of God's absolute sovereignty over all things has blessed me beyond belief. When I finally understood that the question wasn't, will I accept Jesus but will He accept me! It was then that my relationship with our great God forever changed because now I'm worshiping the one true God as He is and not the god of man's making. Thank you Pastor Marquedant for an excellent message!
Very Good Sermon! This story, that our Lord tells, is always sobering because it's a glimpse into the afterlife of which we are all so curious. We, who have heard these words are warned there is a heaven and a hell, there is an afterlife, there is accountability. Praise to the grace of our God through Jesus our Redeemer that we have passed from death to life!
Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon on some often misunderstood verses of Scripture. There are many good points made by Pastor Marquedant. May we apply ourselves more heartily, than the world does to worldliness, for the Kingdom, for the King, for the glory of our Great God! "If we are not faithful in the little things we are not faithful at all."
