Must Hear! As with all of Rolfe Barnard's sermons,
this one especially magnifies the Grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a very convicting sermon in that
it states the duty and burden of a
Christian spreading the Gospel.
I thank God for His Sovereign Mercy.
I thank God that He gave life to this
dead sinner. Please listen!!
You've likely never heard anything like this! This sermon will put the fear of The Lord in you. In this day of humanism, seeker friendly churches, apostate protestantism and a constant bombardment of "God loves you just the way you are" this message is a breath of the fresh air of God's truth. That every mouth may be stopped and that the flesh be killed was the mission of Rolfe Barnard. If you feel at ease living in sin, you owe it to your soul to listen to this sermon!!
Gut wrenching sermon As the dear brother below said, this is a soul searching, gut wrenching sermon. I wept uncontrollably. I would most highly recommend this, and every other sermon by brother Barnard. To say that God created him unique is to understate the point.
Exposes the falacy of arminianism Excellent sermon. Very important sermon showing what is and what isn't Gospel preaching. Could possible be the best sermon on this website.
Great Sermon! Excellent sermon with so much wisdom
preached by Brother Barnard who has
now been with the Lord for almost forty
years. Oh, that we had more like him
today! So much truth is taught; we
cannot discuss the deep truths of the
Word of God with hardly anyone. Thank
God that He has revealed these precious
truths to me. God help me that I will
not cast the pearls before the swine.
Thank God for introducing this precious
man to me through Brother Henry Mahan.
Needs to be Heard! I'm preparing a message from Acts 5 and came accross this sermon. This message needs to be preached in the church today. People have stopped reading their Bibles and don't really know the God of the Bible anymore. The God of the Bible MUST punish sinners. I wonder if God would kill some in our churches would we wake up and purify ourselves. Great Sermon
Great Sermon! It does my heart good to hear this "old time religion" preaching.
Too many "Christians" probably haven't
heard this kind of message unless they
seriously search for it. Thank God we
have recordings of these deceased
"men of God" to give us the full
knowledge of God's Word.
Great Sermon! CERTAINLY ONE TO MAKE YOU SIT BACK AND ASK YOURSELF, "IS THERE ANY SIN IN MY LIFE." OF COURSE WE KNOW THAT ALL HAVE SINNED, BUT WE ARE NOT TO PRACTICE SIN, OR SINNING SHOULD NOT BE OUR LIFESTYLE. GOD IS A GOD OF JUDGEMENT, REFLECT TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL IN TE BOOK OF JER. EVANG BARNARD, SAYS GOD WILL POUR OUT HIS WRATH WITHOUT REMEDY, THE BOOK OF JEREMIAH IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THAT. ALTHOUGH GOD LOVES US, GOD IS A HOLY GOD WHO HATES SIN, AND HE PUNISHES SIN AND SINNERS.
Don't Pass This One By! This message brings out just what should be stressed in our pulpits today — in a day when the average religious professor does not know God! Salvation is to "know Him," according to our Saviour in John 17.
WELCOME NEWS! It is with sincere praise to the Most High that we have the sermons of the late Brother E. W. Johnson joining with sermons of Rolfe Barnard. We personally knew both of these good men of God. Whereas Barnard was a travelling evangelist and conference speaker, Dr. Johnson built up and pastored a true GRACE church in Pine Bluff, ARK. In his day, he was probably one of the best scholars among the Baptists of America. He is greatly missed, but you can benefit from his teaching here. Please hear him and leave your comments. May God bless SermonAudio as it continues to herald the Truth of God!
A Vital Message for Today! This is dear old Brother Barnard at his best. Give this one a careful listen. And remember that at the time Barnard was preaching across the country like this, there were few men (especially in Baptist and Fundamentalist circles) who would allow the "doctrines of Grace" to be preached in their pulpits. Thank God, these truths are getting a better hearing in our days. But, Oh, for the power of vital truth in our hearts and lives!
As I heard this sermon --- My heart was lifted up in praise to my Lord and Saviour.
Also with a desire that others will hear and be blessed. This is a
most discriminating sermon. Listen and recommend it to your friends. This is the kind of preaching God used in Brother Barnard's lifetime to stir people and bring some good revivals.
How we were blessed by this man's preaching in the 1950s and 1960s! "What think ye of Christ is the test, to try both your state and your scheme; You cannot be right in the rest, unless you think rightly of HIM!" Amen.
Great Sermon! Death can keep no hold on God's cildren it is only the avenue of Greater blessing to those who will but trust Christ. But to the lost, religous self righteous man it is a horrible thing, beyond description. May you listen and be encouraged to witness to the lost, and be joyful of God's Salvation in Christ Jesus.
