Jesus's words on the cross have great meaning for us. Jim Savastio sets a high mark in this deeply insightful sermon on the events and the meaning involved in Jesus's fifth statement "I am thirsty".

Sermon:
Imprecatory Prayer
Pastor George McDearmon
1
comment
“ Vital for all who seek the Lord ”
Beginning with a general theme of imprecation, Pastor McDearmon then shows how David took special watchcare over his own soul and sought God that he would never be the cause of others who hope in the Lord being ashamed. Though done with men in the ministry in mind, this is important for all Christians.

“ Selflessness Starts Here! ”
It's time to leave some stuff behind! There's no place for selfishness in following Christ. As James Williamson says: "You've got to be willing to deny anything about you that God is gonna say is not acceptable to Him."

Praying for the Brethren

“ Important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ”
Tragically many of us neglect praying for other Christians. Jim Savastio's sermon calls us to heed God's call for us to pray fervently for others in the household of God. This is a very informative and inspiring call to prayer.

This was the best sermon I've ever listened to on the roles of women in the church. Intelligent, sensitive and non-condescending! Praise God.

This was a good sermon, it's always good to be reminded to get our priorities straight. So often I get caught up in temporal things to the neglect of my responsibilities. Thanks!

“ Powerful and Uplifting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ”
This is very powerful and uplifting sermon on a critical moment in David's life. David is laid low in the dust of life by his fears and troubles. He returns to the location of his battle with Goliath and his faith that God hears and cares is restored. In this series on Psalm 34 Jim Savastio provides a powerful service to us all--especially when we are beset by troubles and our faith falters--by expounding on the lessons to be learned and the hope God offers to us in Psalm 34.

What is a Reformed Baptist?

“ Great Sermon! ”
Once again, Pastor Savastio, you have presented an excellent sermon. I love that I am Reformed Baptist. I was fortunate to be raised in a Reformed Baptist Church. However, there is not one in my area. There isn't any reformed teaching type churches near. What would you suggest in a case like this? I would love your thoughts. Thank you once again for a great sermon. God bless.

This message is a great example of evaluating the events of our lives in the light of God's Word. It is not merely a history lesson, but a strong testimony to God's sovereignty and help in times of trouble.

The Life of C. H. Spurgeon

“ Great Sermon! ”
This message was wonderfully enlightening on the life of Spurgeon. I learn a lot. Thank you! It is so interesting that Spurgeon, Edwards, Wycliffe, Tyndale and John Calvin all died at the age of 56. I never knew that before. I also loved what Spurgeon said about not being ashamed of being a baptist or calvinist but that his creed is Jesus Christ. That was very powerful. God bless.

The Triumphal Entry
Jim Savastio

“ Powerful & Inspiring Sermon ”
This is a powerful and inspiring sermon on our Savior's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Jim Savastio explains how Jesus in Luke 19:28-40 fulfills very amazing prophecies of his entering Jerusalem in Psalm 118 and Zechariah 9. This sermon is well worth listening to and sharing with others.
