Great Sermon! I really want to thank you for this, I am new to your church, I downloaded the app to hear the pass sermons this hit me hard and convicted me to my core, on how horrible I been as a husband, I am make a promise to God to work on doing life well in this area and will like your help. Thanks
Great Sermon! Thank you, men, for this discussion on this great article. Along with you I'm amazed we are even discussing things like this these days. This ideology is sending many young people down one more false path. This is scary stuff. Leaning on Jesus, we need wisdom and courage to face what's going on now right around us. How we even got to this place was a very important question that was brought up. Thank you for your thoughts.
Great Sermon! Another inspirational sermon on what we as Christians should look like to the world and how to serve the Lord. Thank you for broadcasting your sermons. Lynn
Great Discussion! I thought this was a good, fair-minded discussion of the relevant scriptural material from a handful of folks intent on biblical faithfulness.
Keep searching the scriptures, friends!
Great Sermon! Pastor Sean,
Thank you in shepherding my soul through your sermons. I listen by way of your church app and have been greatly blessed by your unpacking and application of God's definitive word. God bless, Prentiss Y
Great Sermon! I don't think the author of this article is an idiot because I believe that he believes that Jesus actually existed. I think he wrote it because many if not most in this generation want to believe that Jesus does not exist; so he wants to give them a "legitimate" way out and many will happily take it of course. To me, he is like the Planned Parenthood employee, the abortion doctor, the pro-choice politician, and the selfish mother who very well know that the unborn is fully human but will deny the obvious for their own selfish ambitions. It is the same as the homosexual man or woman who could easily tell of their molestation and/or seduction but will instead lie and say that they were born that way just to satisfy their immoral lusts. All of these modern "truths" are the real myths of 21st Century man. Revelation 6:16 gives the telling response of these Truth deniers when they confront the "Myth" of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Revelation 6:16 KJV And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Great Sermon! This encompasses the human condition. Catholic, Protestant, judiasm or anything. This is not necessarily a "Church" problem but a human problem. Ever since the beginning it's in man to run from his sins.No denomination will ever change that. What we have today is Matthew 7:13-14 playing itself out in real time. As it has in all generations. We are not special. Thoughtful discussion. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Pastor, I really enjoyed the sermon today!! I liked the comparison of the horrible car wreck and the fender bender, it made total sense to me!!!
Thank you!
Kathy
Ecclesiology matters This sad situation shows why one's theological view and high regard for the local church is so important, which is so lacking in modern evangelicalism today. The fact that they even have this kind of power to hold missionaries hostage is proof that the Biblical model of a local autonomous church accountable to a plurality of Biblically-qualified elders is largely absent today. You nailed it - for the sake of tradition they are making void the Word of God (Matthew 15:6). They are making the same mistake the Jews did when they expected Jesus to be a political Messiah to overthrow the evil Romans. I don't recall William Wilberforce holding missionaries' livelihoods hostage when he used his own God-given vocation - in that context - to stop the slave trade. History has shown time and time again that when the church becomes sacral (tied in with the State) the consequences are disastrous for the Gospel.
Great Sermon! Not every public school district indoctrinates their kids with 8 hours a day of radical leftism. There are pockets in the country, particularly in exurban or rural areas in the Midwest and South, where the public schools are still community-oriented, containing authentic Christians and Christian influences, and do not ram these things down people's throats. In addition, if you have a special-ed child, private and Christian schools are often lacking in resources to educate these kinds of children, unless you are willing to pay $20k per year. My point is that school choice is a Romans 14 and 1 Corinthians 8 issue and should not be a marker of Christian identity. I have seen well-adjusted, godly children come from all 3 schooling methods (public, Christian, homeschool). Parents have to answer before God for how they train their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and we should not be judging another's servant (Romans 14:4-5).
Great Sermon! I agree with everything here, but I will say the relative you mentioned who wants them to "bleed out" was most likely referring to the public school intstitution itself and not the people involved in it. I pray often that the public school system will crumble and fall. Why would any true believer send their children off to be indoctrinated 8+ hrs a day with Satanic doctrine of evolution, sodomy, feminism, trans-whateverism, etc?
Great Sermon! One of the very first questions I ask with any "new" stance in theology is: what have orthodox Christians believed throughout ALL of history. I know there are variances on small things here or there, but foundational beliefs have never changed. I always wonder what implications have for the saints that have come before us and the fact that for so long they "got it wrong".
Great Sermon! 2 Thessalonians 2:11 KJV And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie
There is a great difference between being deluded and having a "strong delusion" caused by God. "Strong delusion" is the spiritual current even of our times that no one is talking about. To explain: I remember a time when I was a kid that I had to compromise and have a tea party with my sister so that she could later on play army with me. Sometimes I had to swallow my alpha male pride that killed the imaginary Nazis and put on one of my grandmother's wigs and sit with my sister for an afternoon tea with my little pinkie out. In those days we had parents to keep us kids "straight" when we boys strayed too far into our delusion and began to "soften" into our feminine tea-toddling roles or the girls hardened into army commandos.
Today God has caused a "strong delusion" to fall on those who should be responsible for upholding the basic concepts concerning gender and morality with our children (i.e. psychiatrists, politicians, parents, clergy). But they have suppressed and even rejected God's Truth for the lie that we term today as political correctness. Thus today we have a strongly deluded society enforcing the gender delusions of our kids.
Great Sermon! Thoroughly enjoyed this episode! Both the hosts and guest showed genuine grace navigating through this often overlooked and difficult topic.
Sola Deo Gloria!
