OUR HERITAGE Trinity Reformed Church is a member of the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS) whose roots go back to the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation. We are indebted to such men as Luther, Zwingli, Knox and Calvin who directed Christ’s church back to teachings of the Holy Scriptures. The RCUS was 265 years old in 2011. Trinity Reformed was begun in 1985.
OUR AUTHORITY We believe that the Bible, comprising the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is Gods inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word. It is the final authority on matters of doctrine and life. It is the Holy Spirit who sovereignty applies the Gospel, by working repentance and faith, to the hearts of God’s chosen, covenant people. The Head of our church is Jesus Christ, who has appointed officers for the care and nurture of His body. The Consistory (the pastor, elders, and deacons) are elected by the congregation to care for its needs. The Spiritual Council (pastor and elders) provide for true, Christ-centered preaching of God’s Word, the proper administration of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the faithful exercise of Christian discipline. The doctrinal standards of our church are the Heidelberg Catechism (written in 1563), the Belgic Confession of Faith (1561), and the Canons of Dordt (1619). These “Three Forms of Unity” are faithful, summary expressions of the truths of historic, Protestant Christianity
OUR SAVIOR AND LORD There is only one name under heaven, whereby we are saved – Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. By His sacrificial death on the cross He has paid the penalty for our sins. By His perfect life He has earned for us the righteousness which is accounted to us. These are God’s gifts, as is the true faith to receive these gifts from Him. One result of the gracious, sanctifying work of God’s Holy Spirit is righteous and holy lives of thanksgiving, which God requires of us. We trust in the power and grace of God to enable us to persevere in true faith until the glorious appearing of our Lord. When He returns, He will come to judge the living and the dead, and to make our mortal bodies like His glorified body to live and to reign with Him forever. Following the command of our Lord, we call on everyone to repent of their sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation. We call on everyone to faithfully and thankfully serve Him in fellowship with other believers. We welcome you to join us in this worship and service.

I serve on the Home Missions committee of our denomination and I strongly encourage each one of our new church plants to develop a strong web presence strategy. A major pillar in that strategy is joining SermonAudio. I am constantly promoting SermonAudio to all the churches in our denomination. The site works so flawlessly with websites so that you only have to upload the sermon once to SermonAudio but there is a nice link to it on our own church website. I am also involved in helping the Reformed church movement in Germany so when I preach I am not only impacting my own congregation but also many fellow saints internationally.
In our own local church, I’ve had people come and visit our church. They often sit in the back row and when I go to greet them after the service they respond, 'I already knew what kind of preaching to expect here this morning because I have listened to you several times on SermonAudio.' We are very pleased with your service and what you offer!
