The roots of Bethel Hanley go back nearly 200 years, to the establishment on the corner of Hope Sreet and New Hall Street of Hope Congregational Church. Hope Congregational Church declined in the 20th century, and in the 1930s the Bethel Evangelistic Association established a congregation in Hanley, which initially rented and then bought the former Hope Chapel. The old Hope Chapel was replaced by the present church building in 1977, owing to damage caused during the building of the supermarket next door. We are constitutionally Congregational, Doctrinally Calvinistic, practicing Believer’s Baptism. At Bethel we lay great emphasis on the teaching of the Bible, which is at the centre of our meetings for worship.
We have four Elders, including the Pastor, and two Deacons.

It is very exciting to us to have this worldwide ministry in our small church. SermonAudio is definitely worth the monthly fee.
