CHEF was founded in 1974 by Dr. Les Woodson, an excellent communicator of the gospel of Jesus Christ, in both written and spoken word. He began preaching at age 15 and wrote more than 20 books. His decades of work are being preserved to assist and inspire the next generation of believers. J.D. Shipp, Dr. Woodson’s son and the new director of the foundation, will keep the standard of biblical excellence and sound doctrine in proclaiming the inerrant Word. As a pastor for 30 years he is dedicated to helping young pastors, both full-time and bi-vocational (like his own son), to be effective ministers. Bringing his father’s messages and manuscripts into the digital age is one way to accomplish that goal.
