Our world started with two sinless people in a perfect garden, and God saw that "it was very good". Adam and Eve were tempted by the devil to disobey God's command by his promise that they would not die and could be like God, knowing good and evil. Their sin spread to every one of their descendants, to the point that "the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Their sin grieved God so much that He resolved to blot out humans from the face of the earth. In the midst of this declaration of judgment, the Lord demonstrated grace to one man, Noah. Every other family had aligned with the devil and his demons, fallen angels who sought to prevent the coming of the Redeemer promised to Adam and Eve. As we anticipate the second coming of our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, is our world much different from that day?
