So many people are so confused about this issue of the unpardonable sin. We will continue to clarify this today. If a person feels they have committed the unpardonable sin, it destroys their spiritual life. They just give up and drift off to where they were before. We will go over what it is, who can commit it, and all the details about it to really understand what it is about. This is in the entire chapter of Matthew 12.
Review Matthew 12:12-21, then Matthew 12:22-32: Jesus is in the streets with the people, healing those who come to Him. The Pharisees, or religious leaders of the day, accused Jesus Christ of breaking the Sabbath. They weren't interested in the miracles; they just wanted to destroy Him.
Matthew 12:12-21 12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. Under the law, you can save an animal, what's wrong with saving a man? 13 Then said he to the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Jesus Christ first gave scripture references why it's ok to heal on the Sabbath, and then He did it. 14 ¶ Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. Here's a man standing in their midst, performing miracles like never before, proving He is the son of God by performing miracles, and they want to destroy Him. Jesus Christ's credentials were His miracles. Pharisees were religious hypocrites. They were only interested in His threat to Him. They love their power and authority over the masses and they want to keep it. 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great .....
