Joshua sending the spies into Canaan and Jericho is a pretty familiar story from Sunday school. We learn about Rahab and Harlot, the king of Jerich and the escape of the spies and the scarlet rope.
As we consider this account we should be struck by the One who was already overcoming His enemies and striking fear into their hearts.
What accounts for this? Nothing less that the presence of God's Spirit and the fearful Presence of the Almighty.
As we consider this chapter we see how God encouraged His People and even has mercy on the family of Rahab.
We will note: I. God’s Sovereign Command/Man’s Responsibility II. God’s Surprising Work of Intimidation and Grace III. The Resultant Confidence in God’s Power
