My reasons for leaving a church was 1) Christ and his work was neglected, 2) there was little opportunity to have biblical dialogue, 3) too many fund-raising programs, 4) and most of all 12 to 15 minute stories about man.
I am so sick (probably filled with my self) of meeting believers not excited about this new life.
I don’t what is lacking in my soul, but I am hungry and eager to share our inheritance with others. Scripture says to not do it alone. So I sit and wait for the next Sunday’s 12 a 15 minute story.
Also, my church is looking more and more like Catholicism. However, we work tirelessly raising funds to meet the needs of the needy.
Pray that I am free of whatever is preventing me from staying put and allowing a spirit of humility become my portion.
