I. A New Testament Sermon Will Center on Christ -- Acts 3:11-26
A. The Content of a NT sermon
B. The Mechanics of a NT Sermon 1. First and foremost the preaching must be Christ-centered
2. It must be doctrinally correct and theologically sound.
3. There should be sound application from the text in the preaching , with exhortations to warn Christians against laxness in duty
4. With the warnings, should also come comfort to struggling Christians so that when they fail in their duties, they will be reminded that Christ alone is their hope and trust
5. A true gospel ministry must warn the lost that without Christ there is absolutely no hope and all comfort outside of Christ is false comfort
II. The OT Message is the same as the NT – Deut. 30

I also think what he says about the gospel being for the comfort of God's people and not for unbelievers is right on target! The application is excellent.
