If slavery is essentially evil how can the Bible speak of the Christian as Christ's slave? Wherever and whenever slavery was not operated according to God's Law, whether North, South, East, or West, it was sinful and detestable in the eyes of God. Man-stealing is an abomination in the sight of God and carries with it the death sentence, Exodus 21:16. The current narrative concerning Charlottesville, VA is falsehood for political purposes.

An Example of Unchanging Truth I am thankful that God is Truth and that Truth does not change. Our culture on this issue kicks against scripture all for the purpose of creating division and to use that division for political gain. I pray that people will once again read God's word. Thank you for preaching true Truth.

Important timely sermon! As the pastor summarizes what happened in Charlottesville is falsehood for political purposes. Today sadly even the Southern Baptist convention (and AL Mohler) has disowned their forefathers in order to become politically-correct instead of biblically true on this subject. Most of modern Christianity has become totally PC and humanist, democracy-oriented instead of adhering to the Purity and truth of God's word on this subject. The fear of man brings a snare.

Remembering... A memory from my youth (I won't tell you how far back I had to go to get it): The older saints in our black Baptist church, those born in the 1800's - the beginning of the 1900's, were always calling the Lord Jesus their "Good Master." Yep, they didn't have any problems being Christ's slaves. And they were a lot closer to the evil abuses of slavery and the aftermath than any of us.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! You have so wonderfully answered the question about slavery, Bro. Jeff. Thank you. It's cleared the matter up for me. I've heard others Christian teachers that seemed almost--or were--apologetic about God's Word on slavery because of the world's view and I was becoming a little confused about things.
