The Mystery Of Circumcision. God has Secrets... and He is willing to reveal them
So, where are we now? Our pastor is prone to leaving behind the tour group and wondering off without approval. But we're still battling through the essential pieces of circumcision. We start at Genesis 3:15 and then we go to Genesis 17 and then Genesis 34 and then off to Joshua 9 and 10 and on to 2 Samuel 21. Don't worry. Pastor Chronister summarizes all these passages we've covered pretty quickly. But we finally wind up back at Romans 2, where we belong. Because, you see... what started all this, is solving the mystery that is circumcision. Why did God pick circumcision to be the sign of the Abrahamic covenant? Then you combine the sign of the Noahic covenant and then go and pick up the Mosaic covenant... and then what where do you go? Well... if I told you then you might not think you need to listen to the lecture. I'll give you a hint. It's the sign that takes you to the doctrine of the Redemptive work of Christ. But... where does that take you? Ha, ha! Now I'm really not going to tell you. But don't worry. This pastor is happy to fill you in, because there's eight covenants in total.
