So many people take this passage and walk away with one NEGATIVE lesson - that we're not supposed to sue other Christians.
It's a tragedy that so many churches who completely ignore the Bible's teaching on church discipline, and give Christians with grievances nowhere to go for justice... nevertheless take these verses and insist that their members cannot go outside the church for help!
Other "churches" have used these verses to cover up crimes such as child abuse or to avoid any kind of scandal for the church, and members suffer untold misery at the hands of pastors who desire to manage criminal activity 'in house.'
Certainly these verses need to be properly understood in context to avoid abuses, and this sermon helps to give a balanced view... but there's also something here that affects every Christian and through this text we're all being called to make a commitment to deal with our grievances in a Biblical way...
