His Love [Relational] (compelled) His Light [Revelation] (clarity) His Life [Reward] (cause) His Loyalty [Reliability] (credibility)
Misapplied zeal... (even the greatest acts of zeal, love and loyalty can be mistaken, misguided and tainted with sinful sincerity.) WHY? It's not God's WILL, WAY OR WORK. Illustrated with Peter (14:27-31)
Peter would have died FOR Jesus...
I don't want to be relatable at the expense of being reliable.
Our spirit should be: Why can't my reliability — be what's relatable?
If I can't transfer my reliability, through my relatability, my relatable thinking has become unreliable.
Don't throw out your reliability to promote your relatability with a world that can't connect, abide and relate to Jesus.
Jesus with the scribes:
