Me_Myself_&_I Colossians 3:13 / Ecclesiastes 5:4-8 The single greatest issue for the security of your family is found in two questions. (1) Will the home worship the right god? (2) Will the home worship the right god the right way?How do you destroy the idol of selfishness? Through mastering the spiritual power of compassion.HOW TO DEVELOP THE HABIT OF COMPASSION.3 things you can do to get started in becoming a compassionate person.1. Get serious about the Golden Rule. 2. Get serious about forgiveness. 3. Get serious about giving. I repent of my idolatry not by looking myself in the mirror and telling myself I can displace it in my energy, might, or goodness. You now have God's power to help you every day and it sets you free for the future, because you know you are going to spend eternity with Him.Ultimately, the most self-serving thing you can do is give your life in service to others. The most selfish thing you can do is to be unselfish, because when you live for others, everything you give comes back to you.
