Last week we began a study into the words of Luke 2:25, and we began looking at the meaning of the Phrase " The Consolation of Israel." We Looked at the Consolation Promised and talked about the fact that God promised to sind a redeemer that would crush the head of the snake. Then we looked at the Biblical prophecies that promised that this Redeemer would be a specific person from a specific line, and of a specific character and quality. We also looked at the Greek language in the context of the Consolation and we noted that this consolation was the comforter of Israel, and the breath of God. In Isaiah 61:1–9 verse 1 and half of verse 2, Jesus spoke these things, and everyone knew that this was a Messianic prophecy that there long awaited Messiah and Redeemer would fulfill. But the Jewish people did not stop there, Oh no, they saw that this entire prophecy would be fulfilled at once and that their Messiah would establich His kingdom immediately and that He would bring down the Romans ands force all the world to pay hamage to the Nation and the Messianic Kingdom of Israel, that is clearly layed out in these passages. But I will bring this into your mind, this has not fully happened yet, and yet it will.
