Sometimes we're the David in someone's life. What do I mean? Remember when Israel was facing the giant, and David stepped in the gap and gave them a cause and the courage to stand up and fight. We want them and the whole world to know there is a God who never considers the odds... who isn't restrained, by a few or many, to deliver.
Then, at other times, we're the brooks of grace that a giant slayer finds his or her stones to battle the giants in their lives. Why? We've seen the all sufficient grace of God wash over us again and again. We've experienced the troubling floods of life and the rushing waters of time, that have been used by God to graciously smooth the rough edges off, through which He's shaped a few stones of grace within us to share with the giant slayers of life. (2 Corinthians 1:3-9)
Will my heart be the brook of grace that holds the smooth stones of faith, that fit perfectly in the sling of God's giant slayers that they may sling them at the head of the enemy.
May our words and witness be as the smooth stones David pulled from the brook... words that fit in the sling of giant slayers.
