This is the annual address to the faculty of Grace Christian School just before the opening of the academic year. Grace is overseen by the leadership of our church and has approximately 500 students, K-12. We began operations in 1984.
The children who will be entering our classrooms are influenced by popular American culture. That culture has radically changed from the time in which I was born and raised beginning in the 40's and concluding with my finishing college in the 60's.
Some of these changes in modern American culture are themselves clear evidence that America is already under profound judgment from God.
How do we serve little ones and teens coming out of such a culture? What hope do we have to rescue and protect them in such a time as this, a time that is bad and unstable and that is going to get worse as we move through this academic year into 2012?
