Fearing God properly involves a deep reverence and love for Him that results in worship. And we are to keep His commandments as evidence of our love for Him, rather than a slavish and legalistic means of earning salvation. Through Christ, God has done for us what we could never do for ourselves, and our response is to worship Him.
