We are living in the lost generation, and probably the last generation. We have lost our way because all the landmarks have been removed. All points of reference from which to take our moral bearings are gone. The compass does not point north anymore and we cannot tell where we are, where we are going, or where we have been. We are lost unless we find the old paths and walk in them. A very appropriate message for this Independence Day.
