Well we had intended to talk about her latest book, 'Youniquely Woman - Becoming Who God Designed You To Be', but during the preparation time (shortly before the microphones were turned on), I mentioned a word that instantly caught her attention.
The person that I am speaking about is well-known author and international Bible teacher, Kay Arthur and the word that captured her attention was the word, Truth. I briefly mentioned the status of Truth in our society today and the importance of teaching the truth. Well that was all that was necessary to get Kay started, the Bible was opened, and she was off and running, discussing a topic that she is obviously very passionate about.
As she puts it during the interview 'Learning, Living and being willing to Lay-down your Life for the Truth' is, and has been a major message of Precept Ministries International for the past 38 years. This message reaches 94 million people daily through radio, TV, and the Internet via the 'Precepts for Life' program. The program teaches people in 150 countries in nearly 70 languages how to discover Truth for themselves.
The claim to fame of Precepts Ministry has been their persistent promotion of the importance of the Inductive Bible Study method. This method involves three stages: Observation, Interpretation and Application.
The Precept mission statement reads:
