Two vital truths are stated regarding Esau in Hebrews 12:16-17. First, he was a "profane person", having no interest in worship or God's purposes. Secondly, when he was duped by Jacob and lost the family blessing, he pleaded and wept before his father Isaac for another blessing. However, in all of his painful experiences at "no place" or time did he repent. So it is with fleshly religion.
