What is Christian Science? Today were going to start a new series and find out. The Christian Science cult is sometimes confused with Scientology. They are not Christian, nor are they scientific, yet Christian Science believes and teaches that they are a resurgence of primitive Christianity. In other words, they believe Christianity, as presented by Christ Himself, is actually the theology of Christian Science. Christian Science churches are called a “Church of Christ Scientist”. You will also often find Christian Science Reading Rooms in most major cities. These rooms contain all of Mary Baker Eddy's writings as well as testimonies of people who claim to have been healed of physical problems through the participation in Christian Science practices. Christian Science publishes the Christian Science Monitor, the Christian Science Sentinal, as well as the Christian Science Journal. Christian Science has churches in over 70 countries with a membership around three hundred thousand to half a million. The typical Christian Science curch service consists of a Bible reading that is not explained or expounded on, followed by a reading from Science and Health With Keys to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. At the end of their service, Christian Scientists will recite “The Scientific Statement of Being”. There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error.

Very thorough Hi,
I just listened to part 1 of your sermons on Christian Science.
I can tell the rest will be very good, because you are quite thorough.
I was born and raised in CS.
I left it at age 15.
I thank God that I am no longer part of this Cult.
My Dad stayed in it until his death at 57. Sadly, he refused to see a doctor. Mother remarried and became a Presbyterian. Another Brother is Methodist.
A Sister and Brother are Atheist. And another Brother remains in CS.
I am a born again Christian. I attend an awesome Spirit filled church.
