In these verse verses of Romans 12 I've become convinced that the Apostle Paul is setting before the Church the Christian ethic.
He sets down principles that are practical directions for how we as believers are to live. They are therefore important and worthy of our due attention. They pretty well set the stage for the conduct of God’s people as they are a part of Christ’s Church.
The Christian’s Sacrifice is really just the proper and fitting response (we might say our calling) of service that is how we should respond to the God’s Amazing Grace. We are to BE and LIVE as "living sacrifices."
In our present Study we consider the gift of GIVING OR SHARING. The word used in Romans 12:8b is not the normal word for giving... didoomi... rather it is metadidoomi. I'm convinced it is speaking of more than giving of tithes and offerings, but rather the attitude that should prevail in our regard and love for others.
