It was an alliance that is composed of the religious conservatives of the day, as well as the religious liberals of the day. It was an alliance that extended into, and was supported by, the power of the civil government of the day....religious leaders in partnership with civil authority entering into an unholy alliance against the truth.

“ Great Sermon! ” This is a much needed message today for the true flock; Dr. Elliott presents a biblically based message on the unholy alliances taking place - we need to separate from much of what calls itself 'evangelical' or 'christian' and cleave to Christ. May the Lord see fit to use this message to warn and encourage His sheep.
