Paul's introduction to his letter to the Galatians is TERSE. Most other letters he writes include a longer introduction and some mention of thanksgiving for a positive aspect of the faith of the receivers. However, the matter here seems so grave that Paul gets straight to the point, and reminds the Galatians of his authority as a divinely-appointed apostle. The gospel is being compromised -- this is serious stuff!
