The Precepts and Promise of the Great Commission

Last Lord's Day morning we learned together that the Great Commission is based upon a specific foundation: the absolute Sovereignty of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is its premise. Today we explore the rest of our Lord's words by considering both the precepts and the promise of the Great Commission. The precepts are three: 1. Make disciples, 2. Baptize disciples, and 3. Teach disciples. And the promise is that the very presence of Jesus will abide with His church until the end of this present age! With such strong consolations, let us endeavor to win the world for Him!
