“Opposition” means hostility, the act of opposing, or conflict. Our enemy is for unrighteousness; while we are supposed to be for righteousness. That means there will be battles. Some times the opposition is simply cleaning up not just our lives but the things in our lives we don't normally think of. In our text Asa had not only cleaned up his life, but Jerusalem and Judah. He faced some opposition but it led to peace and quiet in the land for ten years. Rest came from obedience. But opposition does still lurk out there waiting to pounce on us. And it doesn't come just because you have done something wrong. The enemy is always looking to cause us trouble. When that opposition comes don't panic we have someone we can call on to bail us out. The Master, the Lord God Almighty. Go ahead and lean on Him because He is more than capable of supporting us if we will let Him with God leading us against the opposition victory is ours. He'll take care of the enemy and return to us what the enemy has stolen from us. What opposition is facing you and how are you responding to it?
