“ Mixed response ” I rejoice in Mr Gay's clear call to proclaim the gospel alone as the way of salvation - Christ and Him alone is the way of salvation - amen to that.
However, I was very concerned about the misrepresentation of Calvin and other reformers as 'law mongers', saying that they were 'playing the game of the Judaisers'. This couldn't be further from the truth - Calvin and the reformers, in contradiction of Rome, taught salvation as the free gift of God's mercy. Calvin and the reformers taught the apostolic doctrine. There is no law keeping as a requirement to be saved, there is grateful obedience to the law of Christ in thanksfulness for His mercy.As Paul says in Romans 3:31, 'on the contrary, we uphold the law!' The Christian obeys out of thankfulness and this is what Calvin and the other reformers taught.

“ Strong Sermon! ” Brother David gives us a message that is right on point -- Believe in Christ Jesus -- don't listen to anybody who preaches anything else -- as Paul said, "Let them be cursed." Too many of today's preaching does not emphasize Jesus Christ alone!
