Thank you for drawing out so many lessons for today's Christian in this account of Ahitophel. As you say, a sad story of faithlessness, murderous intent and probably personal ambition. The deliberate way he ended his life as you say is a chilling parallel to those who are out of God's will yet who are used of Him.
You have brought out many things in what was to me a relatively obscure story in Scripture.
