Today we are celebrating the life of Milton Eldon Lynch. He was present when our church was founded, nearly 80 years ago, and has been a steady part for nearly all the time since then. He served as an Elder for nearly 30 years. He was a founding member of our Tuesday morning men's prayer meetings nearly 36 years ago, and until his health prevented regular attendance, he almost never missed a meeting.
He loved to share the gospel with everyone he met, and usually gave them a Gideon's New Testament as a parting gift.
He was one of those who, though he knew the gospel story so well, he wept all over again as he recalled the work of God in his life. He and his wife, Mary, were kind of surrogate grandparents to many of the children who grew up here.
He is already dearly missed, though we also rejoice in His new dwelling place...the presence of Jesus
