): Thanksgiving is the worship of God in reference to His acts towards man. This worship however is still God centered and not man centered. We worship God not for what He has given us but rather that He would deem to give us anything at all, that He would even deem to think of us at all, for this we worship God and not for the temporal items which we receive but which He has destined for destruction. In contrast many of the presumptuous sins of the Pentecostal, Charismatic and Evangelical Mystical movements are exposed. One of the primary presumptive sins of these movements is the practice of thanking God for something before He has bestowed it. What relationship here on earth to we have with one in authority over us that instead of humbly presenting our requests and then being thankful for whatever response is given we instead boldly march in and thank them for something they have not agreed to bestow. How much more is this presumption a sin against God. True Biblical Thanksgiving is discussed from the Word of God rather than from the cavernous of man.
