We looked at the description of love in 1 Corinthians 13. We centred our thoughts on this that love is long-suffering. We see God is long suffering and we ought to be long suffering as well. long-suffering doesn't mean that there are no consequences to actions. There is a right place for church discipline. The point is that if we are being loving - we will not immediately jump to our rights, we will not immediately seek recompense. We will take our time and be patient in the midst of suffering. God has shown his love in that he has been long-suffering.
